Traditional music, as an important part of Chinese culture, possesses unique artistic charm and cultural value. However, with the diversification of social and cultural developments, traditional music faces numerous challenges in terms of preservation and development. In Henan Province, China, traditional music has a rich historical heritage and a wide-ranging grassroots base, but in recent years, it has shown a trend of gradual decline. Extensive research has demonstrated that education plays a vital role in the preservation of traditional music, with the continuous evolution of educational content having a positive impact on its transmission. However, there are also inherent challenges in this regard. The diversification of the educational environment has profound effects on the preservation of traditional music, providing opportunities as well as challenges. Therefore, by proposing strategies to improve traditional music education and safeguard traditional music, this study aims to promote the sustainable inheritance of traditional music in Henan Province. It seeks to garner greater attention from society at large towards the preservation of traditional music, offering valuable insights for the protection and transmission of Chinese musical culture and serving as a foundation for future research and practice.
