Abstract

The purpose of this study is to deeply investigate the association between soluble fibrin monomer complex (SFMC) and patients with heart failure (HF), and explore its potential utility in HF diagnosis, condition assessment and risk prediction of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. The results suggest an association between SFMC levels and the clinical characteristics, the severity of the disease, and the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in HF patients. SFMC may reflect the activity and inflammatory status of the coagulation system in HF patients.
