Safety and education (SAE) is an indispensable and important component of quality education for university students. With the advent of the era of information globalization, complex network information is flooding us, and more and more harmful information is affecting our lives. Network security issues are also becoming increasingly severe. The scope and content of SAE among university students in the new era are constantly expanding, and the understanding of SAE among universities is gradually improving. However, there are still many problems with SAE among university students. Carrying out SAE for university students can cultivate their security concept, cultivate their awareness of crisis, resist the infiltration of negative ideological and cultural elements, and strengthen the construction of ideological platforms. Universities need to have a thorough understanding, research, implement paths, work hard to practice, establish a big safety concept, improve the SAE mechanism for university students, and continuously explore the forms of SAE according to individual needs, to provide reference for enhancing the effectiveness of university student SAE. In response to the current practical problems in the implementation of university student SAE in universities, it is necessary to strengthen the overall collaboration of university student SAE subjects, build an online and offline collaboration mode, enhance the practicality and pertinence of SAE, and promote the effectiveness of university student SAE in the new era. This article explores the path and methods of university student SAE in the new era.
