Although China has made significant progress in environmental protection in recent years, there is a need for improvement in the policy and methods of environmental governance due to the increasingly serious environmental problems. In response to this situation, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and other relevant departments have issued a series of policy documents that provide guidance and operational support for the development of public-private cooperation in environmental initiatives. While these policies and regulations have been initially implemented in our country, there are still some shortcomings and practical disadvantages during their application process. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously enhance the legal regulation of public-private cooperation in environmental pollution control based on each relevant policy foundation. This will ensure that the governance model can effectively fulfill its role under the protection of laws and regulations.
