five player football is a variety of football. It has obvious differences with eleven player football in scale, standard and ruling. At first, when it was popular in China, indoor football was mainly made of five people, also known as “room football”. It attracts football fans with its unique style and charm and is a new form of football. Based on CNKI Journal Full-text Database of China HowNet, this paper systematically searches the academic papers related to the development of five player football from 2000 to 2019, and makes literature statistics. The research shows that the research on the current situation and development of five player football in China began in 2000, and after nearly 19 years of exploration and development, it shows a multi perspective research trend.
