Abstract

Under the influence of techno-humanism, digital storytelling has become increasingly popular in the field of education in recent years as an information exchange and communication tool that integrates both technological and humanistic frameworks. This paper explores the application and advantages of digital storytelling in modern humanities education. As an innovative teaching method, digital storytelling uses multimedia technology to combine text, images, audio, and video, effectively enhancing students’ interest and engagement in learning. This paper provides a detailed introduction to a practical teaching case: teachers guiding students to use digital storytelling tools to create multimedia stories about the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage. Through this process, students not only deepen their understanding of intangible cultural heritage knowledge but also improve their teamwork and technical application skills. Teachers found that students showed higher levels of engagement and enthusiasm during the creation of digital stories, resulting in a more dynamic classroom atmosphere. The results indicate that digital storytelling significantly stimulates students' learning motivation, enhances classroom interaction, and improves teaching effectiveness. This paper also proposes some suggestions for implementing digital storytelling in teaching, aiming to provide reference for educators.
