As one of the significant representatives of Chinese traditional culture, Kun Dance carries rich historical and cultural connotations. However, it faces challenges in inheritance and development in modern society. This paper provides an in-depth discussion and analysis from various aspects, including the current status of cultural inheritance, teaching methods, protection and promotion strategies, and future development directions of Kun Dance. Firstly, the paper analyzes both traditional and modern teaching methods in the inheritance of Kun Dance, highlighting issues such as the aging population of practitioners and the low interest among young people. Secondly, it discusses the role of the government and various sectors of society in the protection and promotion of Kun Dance, emphasizing the importance of policy support and social participation. Then, it examines the key role of modern interpretation and innovation in promoting Kun Dance and the strategic significance of international communication and exchange. Finally, the paper looks forward to the future development of Kun Dance, offering suggestions such as teaching reform and innovation, cultural exchange, and promotion. These efforts aim to foster the inheritance and development of Kun Dance and enhance its influence on the global cultural stage.
