Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly, and many countries are actively using AI to protect, inherit, and innovate cultural heritage. This study aims to explore the application of AI in the field of cultural heritage. Keeping up with AI's development trends can enhance the utilization of this new tool and model for the sustainable development of cultural heritage. This research employs qualitative research methods including case studies and content analysis. The cases are drawn from news reports by world-renowned news websites such as BBC, CNN, The New York Times, and The Guardian, as well as from the world's largest video website, YouTube. Content analysis is based on the textual interpretation of the collected cases. The combination of these methods allows the study to comprehensively understand the innovative development of AI in the field of cultural heritage from both macro and micro perspectives. AI can enhance cultural interaction and visual effects, deepen research and analysis processes, expand the depth of artistic creation, and protect and restore cultural heritage. Although there are still some challenges in the application of AI in this field, its unique advantages have already become apparent.
