Abstract

This thesis explores the urgent need for reform in college spoken English teaching methodologies in China to better meet the linguistic and professional demands of students in an increasingly globalized world. The study identifies the limitations of traditional teaching methods and examines innovative strategies, including the integration of technology, interactive learning, and curriculum restructuring. The proposed reforms aim to enhance students' communicative competence and prepare them for effective communication in diverse professional environments.
