Abstract

This article explores the relationship between innovative practices and traditional continuation of calligraphy art in the digital age, and analyzes how digital technology plays a role in calligraphy creation, protection, and dissemination. Research has shown that digital technology not only provides a wider range of dissemination and protection methods for calligraphy, but also brings new ways of thinking and expression for the innovation and development of calligraphy art. However, digital technology still cannot completely replace the unique spiritual experience of traditional calligraphy creation in the process of innovation. The cultural identity and artistic value of calligraphy must be upheld and inherited in the digital transformation. This article proposes that the digital innovation of calligraphy art should be guided by respecting tradition and integrating innovation, promoting the revitalization of calligraphy art in the new era, and continuing to undertake its unique functions of cultural inheritance and expression.
