Abstract

With the increasing global population aging, research into age-related diseases has become increasingly important. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the spleen is regarded as the "foundation of postnatal life," playing a crucial role in the generation of Qi and blood, as well as in digestion and absorption. This review explores the role of the spleen in the aging process and examines the potential mechanisms through which TCM can regulate spleen function and delay aging. By analyzing relevant literature, this article aims to provide theoretical support for the application of TCM in geriatric medicine.
