Abstract

General Senior High School English Curriculum Standard (2017 Edition) emphasizes that assessment should permeate the entire teaching process. By effectively integrating teaching, learning, and assessment, educators can enhance the quality of English instruction and implement the curriculum concept of teaching-learning-assessment integration. This study examines the current challenges in senior high school English writing instruction and explores strategies for embedding assessment into writing pedagogy. Building on theoretical and practical insights, the SOM (Student-oriented, Objective-oriented, Multi-assessment) teaching framework is proposed to provide actionable recommendations for front-line English teachers.
