This paper analyzes the cultural phenomenon of Clown Dance in Gannan Tea-picking Opera (CDGTPO) from a philosophical perspective. It first outlines the opera’s development and the distinctive features of CDGTPO, highlighting its role and function in traditional performance. Drawing on concepts from aesthetics, ethics, and existentialism, the study examines the philosophical, aesthetic, and ethical dimensions embodied in CDGTPO. It further explores the evolution of CDGTPO within its socio-cultural context, its role in performing arts, audience reception, and issues of cultural transmission. The paper also considers how CDGTPO adapts to new media and modern communication, thereby preserving its cultural value. By integrating historical, artistic, and philosophical analysis, this study offers fresh insights into the modern transformation and sustainable development of traditional cultural arts.
