Based on the investigation of the current situation of engineering cost professionals, the article found that the employment of cost majors cannot be directly employed but requires a transitional period (i.e. the probation period or internship period). Because of this characteristic, it is difficult for employers to accept the direct employment of students in this major. On the basis of investigation and research, this paper proposes to reform the theoretical teaching and practical teaching to achieve the training goal of graduates majoring in engineering cost without transitional employment.
