Abstract

At present, China's rural education generally shows the tendency of "leaving the countryside", which fails to develop curriculum based on the advantages of rural education resources, resulting in the lack of cultural self-confidence and warm-earth feelings of rural students. As a new educational paradigm of cultivating innovative talents with more and more international influence, STEAM education still has a lot of problems in the process of localization.Few studies focus on the integration of STEAM education and rural education. In fact, STEAM education, with interdisciplinary vision and problem-oriented learning based on real situation as the core, is the ideal mode to exert the potential of rural education, and mining farming culture is the best way to realize the localization reform and innovation of STEAM education. While running through the concept of sustainable ecology, we should transform farming culture into interdisciplinary curriculum resources, carry out PBL teaching based on rural education field, cultivate innovative talents with cultural self-confidence through farming civilization, finally realize the localized STEAM education based on farming culture and the reverse integration of rural education.
