Abstract

Due to overemphasis on language knowledge, many college students are faced with the imbalance between language competence and critical thinking ability. It greatly hinders students’improvement of writing competence. The article makes an analysis on the development of college English writing in China and explores the strategies on how to enhance students’critical thinking so as to make them become better writers.
