The first driving force for achieving high-quality development is innovation, and the root of innovation lies in talents, especially high-quality innovative talents with both virtues and talents. Cultivating high-quality innovative talents is not only the goal of socialist education in China, but also the need to adapt to national development and promote social progress. In the systematic project of cultivating innovative talents, ideological and political education plays an irreplaceable central role, which can strengthen the value leadership of innovative talents and promote the development of their thinking; it can shape the excellent personality of innovative talents and enhance their moral level. In order to give full play to the role of ideological and political education in the cultivation of innovative talents in the new era, we must adhere to the main channel of ideological and political education based on the ideological and political curriculum, vigorously implement the new concept of curricular ideological and political education, effectively consolidate the new position of online ideological and political education, and deeply integrate the new platform of innovative and entrepreneurial education.
