Abstract

Although many researches nowadays are focusing on the cross-cultural communication issue, they mostly fail to satisfy the learners’ needs of Chinese culture learning. To solve this, we carry out a questionnaire, based on the sample of 701 learners of college English with different grades, genders and majors, to analyze the learners’ needs for the course of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Through the course design, we try to clarify the teaching objectives, materials, methods, evaluations and environments. All these efforts will definitely help learners of college English to study the Chinese culture, and furthermore, set an example to the design of others culture-oriented courses for college English learners.
