This type of exercise is a comprehensive carrier to test students' ability of comprehension , expression and innovative thinking. Based on the analysis of related theories of the continuation task, this paper takes the English test of the National College Entrance Examination in China in July 2020 as an example to explore how teachers guide students to finish the continuation task in high quality.
