Shanxi, as a typical resource-based city, has been relying on coal resources to develop local economy for a long time. For China's economic development, coal resources is the most stable "ballast stone", it will always and will be a long-term burden of China's energy security, sustainable and healthy economic growth. As a typical resource-based city, Yangquan has made great contributions to the construction of socialism in China because of coal. However, due to the domestic economic and social development and the utilization and sustainable development of coal mine resources, the coal industry is facing the challenge of green development and ecological civilization construction in the context of supply-side structural reform. How to promote the green development of coal industry is an inevitable choice for the coordinated development of economic development, social synchronization, resource exploitation and utilization, and environmental protection, and also an important problem to be solved in Yangquan coal industry in the new period.
