The Path Exploration on English Teachers' Professional Development from the Perspective of Learning Community

Abstract

Teachers' professional development, as an important role in educational reform, is getting more and more attention. Learning community is one of the most effective ways to promote teachers' professional development. Teachers' learning communities are beneficial to stimulating teachers' subject consciousness of professional development, providing resources for teachers' professional development, and improving teachers' practical wisdom. This paper aims to analyze learning community and try to explore the construction and path of English teachers' learning communities. Some strategies are put forward: develop a Shared Vision; create cooperative school culture; establish a developmental evaluation system.
