The paper discusses the guiding ideology of disciplines and professions development in local industry universities, the opportunities and challenges faced as well as the common problems that generally exist, establishes the development ideas and development goals of disciplines and professions on the basis of digging deeper into the disciplines and professions of local universities, and puts forward the countermeasures to promote the construction and characteristic development of disciplines and professions in local industry universities, which helps to improve the overall strength of disciplines and professions in local industry universities, realize university function, connotative development and characteristic development, and enhance the core competitiveness of local industry universities.
