The main purpose of this thesis is to explore perspectives of the accordion in music education in China. The chapter 1) introduces questions the author trying to answer. The chapter 2) discusses the history of the accordion in terms of its origins and development as an instrument in China. The chapter 3) focuses on music education system in China. The chapter 4) points out the possibilities for further development of the accordion and music education in China in terms of the development of the accordion discipline in China.
