A community with a shared future for mankind is a new proposition of our leaders for the construction of a new type of international relations at present, and is the pattern and values that our foreign relations have always advocated. As a compulsory public basic course in colleges and universities, the ideological and political education of college English course must take "the community of human destiny" as an important theme, in order to reshape college students' language learning awareness and improve their overall awareness of human destiny. Therefore, this paper elaborates the connotation and significance of the community of human destiny, and puts forward suggestions on the development of ideological and political education in college English courses from relevant aspects.
