The characteristics of public health emergencies have had a tremendous impact on the physical and mental health of college students, especially during the COVID-19. Since January 2020, China has implemented strict community prevention and control policies, resulting in long-term suspension of classes in universities and affecting ideological and political education. This article conducts a dynamic analysis of ideological and political education for college students, using SWOT analysis and artificial intelligence dynamic analysis methods to construct a suitable system for analysing the correlation of data after the epidemic. Comparing the questionnaire survey results of the ideological and political education evaluation system in 2011 and 2021, the data shows that the number of students who have not experienced setbacks has decreased from 1319 to 547, while the number of students who have experienced setbacks has increased from 308 to 1433, reflecting a significant change in the living conditions of college students. Therefore, universities need to adhere to the principle of "changing according to the situation, advancing according to the times, and changing according to the trend", and do a good job in ideological and political education.
