The Application of the Teaching Mode for “Ideological and Political Education” in College English Teaching

Abstract

With the background of economic globalization, society informatization and cultural pluralism, the ideological and political education in universities is facing new challenges. The work of ideological and political education in higher education is not only the work for the ideological and political teachers, but should be the duty for the all teaching staff. With the characteristics of long hours, long duration, wide coverage and strong teaching staff, the high social attention, the college English course should shoulder the heavy responsibility of ideological and political education. Based on the analysis of the feasibility and necessity of the expansion of “college English” course to “ideological and political education “, this paper puts forward four points including idea, content, method and path of innovating for college English course. Through these four points, the goal of dual course integration, full course education and all-round education are hopefully realized.
