Ethnomolicology does not rise for a long time, but there are many profound humanistic thoughts in it. Besides, ethnomolicology develops smoothly and its influence is constantly strengthened on the basis of other disciplines. Many scholars begin to focus on ethnomusicology, which not only lays a foundation for the development of ethnomusicology, but also makes the development of ethnomusicology more promising. Although many experts and scholars believe that ethnomusicology has the same characteristics as Traditional Chinese music, ethnomusicology belongs to academic content, and the restriction of nationality is not conducive to the development of ethnomusicology. As a cultural carrier, ethnomusicology is of great help to the development of other disciplines of musicology. Firstly, the origin of ethnomusicology is discussed. Secondly, introduce ethnomusicology; Finally, this paper expounds the importance of ethnomusicology in other disciplines of musicology, hoping to enhance the attention of scholars to ethnomusicology and promote the continuous development and progress of ethnomusicology.
