Abstract

Carrying out “Ideological and Political Education” in college English teaching plays an important role in developing students’ learning attitudes, cultivating students’ correct outlook toward values and world, and helping improve students’ English practical ability. However, for colleges and universities, there are some problems for the “Ideological and Political Education” such as the negative attitude between teachers and students, the incomplete implementation, and the premature the system of evaluation. Then it is an important problem faced by colleges and universities in the process of deepening the teaching reform to innovatively develop “Ideological and Political Education” in college English teaching according to the actual situation. Finally, the author hope that discussion on the development path of “Ideological and Political Education” in College English teaching can give others the theoretical values and practical reference.
