In the new era, Chinese painting has played an important role in inheriting and promoting the excellent Chinese culture. In the context of the increasing emphasis on Chinese creation courses in colleges and universities, Chinese painting creation has ushered in new opportunities. However, opportunities and challenges coexist, and the Chinese creative courses still faces problems such as insufficient integration of excellent traditional culture, imperfect theoretical system of the curriculum, insufficient attention to basic teaching, and insufficient student body. In this regard, in order to better promote the reform and development of Chinese painting creation courses in colleges and universities, it has become an inevitable choice to strengthen the influence of excellent culture, add theoretical content, pay attention to basic teaching, and strengthen the main body of students.
