At present, the organic combination of the penetration of ideological and political education concepts and the effective development of university courses has become the focus of university education reform and innovation. College English subject teaching has become an important construction platform for the implementation and strengthening of ideological and political education due to the ideological impact and cultural collision between China and the West. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to scientifically analyze the teaching status and teaching methods according to the characteristics of college English teaching and the penetration level of the ideological and political concepts of the curriculum, so that college English teaching can make the curriculum ideological and political, build morality, school-based innovation and all-round development.
