With the rapid development of social economy, China has gradually entered the information age, the demand for talents in economic and social construction tends to be diversified, and skilled talents have gradually become the scarce talents in society. With the improvement of material living standards, the interior design work has higher requirements, not only to meet the basic living needs, but also to improve the aesthetics of interior design. As an important platform for talent training, colleges and universities are related to the training of interior design talents. This paper analyzes the cultivation of students' aesthetic awareness based on the actual situation of interior design teaching in colleges and universities in China.
