In the new era, colleges and universities take establishing morality and cultivating people as the fundamental task, emphasizing the improvement of students' ideology, morality and comprehensive quality, and requiring colleges and universities to innovate in college students' aesthetic education, give play to the advantages of aesthetic education, improve students' personality, reshape students' ideology and morality, and promote the comprehensive development of students' morality, intelligence, physical fitness, beauty and labor. This paper discusses the concept, connotation and value of aesthetic education. Based on the necessity and existing problems of college students' aesthetic education in the new era, it briefly outlines the innovative ways of college students' aesthetic education in the new era.
